Before I begin the intensive political posts, I wanted to offer a word of welcome to anyone who stumbled upon this blog and was interested in what I had to say.
I decided to open this blog because despite the fact that I am no expert in the field of Electoral Politics, it is the field that I would like to work in for the rest of my life and I have followed the 2012 Presidential Race about as close as anyone possibly can.
For those of you wondering what the purpose of this site will be, it will try to combine the numerous elements of the race but they will all be aggregated here for simplicity and ease of reading. Because as I mentioned earlier, I am not an expert and am not qualified to make pronouncements, many of the posts which will be my opinion will be labeled "Opinion" and will simply reflect my beliefs about what is happening in the race and what I believe will occur going forward.
However, in order to corroborate my claims and provide background information, I will be also publishing articles that are a collection of article links or copies of tweets from important political reporters (for example, the NY Times Five Thirty blog and Twitter accounts, as well as tweets by numerous pundits and TV reporters from the various stations.) These articles and editorials will be placed together in posts for ease of reading and to try to provide you readers with as much fascinating and pertinent information as possible.
Furthermore, I will be live-tracking results of the upcoming caucus and primary results. I will try to provide accurate information as quickly and cogently as possible in order to reflect the up-to-the-minute news. In reaction to these results, I will be publishing articles and posts from the various Republican candidates, as well as Barack Obama, on these outcomes along with the ads that these candidates air in response or advance of these contests in the various states.
Finally, as continuing debates take place -- whether between the remaining Republican contenders or eventually between Obama and the eventual Republican nominee, I will be live-blogging each of these debates offering my opinion and insights.
As the sight evolves, more features or programs may be added and you will be altered to these changes. Welcome aboard and I hope you enjoy the ride!
